The GSR Institute of Craniofacial and Facial Plastic Surgery in Hyderabad, led by Prof. Srinivas Gosla Reddy, has published its 2025 Annual Report — a landmark year in which the Institute performed 1,032 craniofacial surgeries.

A globally recognised centre of excellence, the GSR Institute also trains surgeons from around the world. In 2025, 89 postgraduate residents completed a one-month observership programme as part of their surgical training.

15 Years of the Cleft School Project

One of the most moving highlights of the year was the celebration of the Cleft School Project’s reunion, bringing together 150 children with facial deformities who are orphaned, from single-parent families, or from underprivileged and neglected backgrounds.

Since its founding in 2009, the project has supported these children not only through surgery but through education. Over the past 15 years, around 60 students have completed their university degrees — among them medical doctors, lawyers, accountants and software engineers. Their achievements were celebrated at a special reunion alongside current students.

The GSR Institute’s work stands as a powerful example of how craniofacial care can transform not just faces, but entire lives.
